The BATTERY DUO-SYSTEM is an electronic device with an integrated microprocessor capable of intelligently managing two 12 V service batteries, both in the charging phase (with alternator, battery charger and photovoltaic modules) and in the discharging phase.

Using the BDS-180 has several advantages:

• management of battery charging and discharging separately and alternately
• possibility of connecting two batteries of different capacity and different age
• checking the functionality of each individual battery and, in the event of a faulty battery, isolating it with a light signal (yellow LED on the BDS-180)
• “battery saver” function, which disconnects the batteries when a certain amount of power is reached
  safety voltage to avoid irreversible damage
• possibility of electrically disconnecting both service batteries (in case of prolonged periods of non-use) using the switch located on the appliance or via a remote switch
• management of high currents (charging and discharging) up to a maximum of 90A with 120A peaks for each battery
• possibility of connecting utilities with consumption up to a maximum of 180A
• possibility of connecting a control panel (MC-180) for selecting the operating mode of the equipment (automatic/manual)
• possibility of connection to mobile devices via the APP “REMOTE CONTROL BDS-180

APP – REMOTE CONTROL BDS-180

The mobile APP “REMOTE CONTROL BDS-180” was specially developed to manage and expand the functions of the BDS-180. The connection between the BDS-180 and mobile devices is via WIFI and has a limited range of action in the vicinity of the vehicle.

The “REMOTE CONTROL BDS-180” APP allows you to:

• select the operating mode of the BDS-180 (automatic/manual)
• display the voltage of the two batteries graphically and in volts
• display the charging and discharging current in real time
• view the remaining battery life of the battery in use
• display the number of charge and discharge cycles of the two batteries
• display the notification of the intervention of the “battery saver” function
• view battery health status
• receive information on any anomalies in the batteries
• View the BDS-180 manual
• update the firmware of the BDS-180
