The Thetford bag protects the cassette tank and makes it easier to store, transport, and carry. It prevents the tank from being scratched or damaged during transport if stored unprotected in the trunk. It’s not recommended to store the replacement cassette tank in its original cardboard box (which is less easy to handle and store).
