Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC Non-Isolated Chargers
The Orion-Tr Smart DC-CC Charger is a professional three-stage adaptive DC-to-DC charger with built-in Bluetooth.
For use in dual battery systems for vehicles or boats where the alternator and starter battery are used to charge the service battery. The unit can be monitored and programmed via Bluetooth and can be controlled via remote on/off switch.
The Orion-Tr Smart charger can be used in 12V or 24V systems and is compatible with both lead-acid and lithium batteries. Models up to 400W are available and multiple units can be connected in infinite parallel to increase output power.
Compatible with temperatures up to 55°C with a maximum output rating of up to 40°C.
Bluetooth Smart enabled
You can use any smartphone, tablet or other Bluetooth-enabled device to
monitor, change settings or update your charger when new information is available
characteristics
Fully programmable
Battery charging algorithm (configurable) or fixed output.
Smart alternator compatibility: Engine operation detection mechanism
3-phase adaptive charging algorithm: first phase charge – absorption – maintenance
In lead-acid batteries it is important that during small discharges the absorption time is short, to avoid overcharging the battery. After a deep discharge,
Instead, the absorption time is automatically extended in order to fully charge the battery.
In lithium batteries, the absorption time is fixed: default 2 hours.
Alternatively, a fixed output voltage can be chosen.
Suitable for use in vehicles with intelligent alternator (Euro 5 and Euro 6 engines)
Built-in motor stop detection stops the drive when the motor is not running.
This prevents unwanted discharge of the starter battery (see manual for details)
Remote on-off
It is possible to connect a remote on/off switch or a relay contact to a double-pole connector.
Alternatively, the H (right) terminal of the two-pole connector can be turned to the positive pole of the
battery, or the L (left) terminal of the bipolar connector can be turned to the negative pole
of the battery (or on the chassis of a vehicle, for example)
All models are short circuit resistant and can be connected in parallel for
increase the output current
An unlimited number of units can be connected in parallel
Protected against high temperature
The output current will decrease with high ambient temperature
IP43 protection
If installed with screw terminals facing downwards
